How did you come to work for Sturges Property Group?

I applied through an employment agency for an open job posting in the finance department. By the Grace of God, we clicked, and I was offered the position.

How has Sturges changed over the years? What's the biggest difference from when you started?

I would have to say the size of our company; we have grown and branched out in such an exciting direction. Becoming one of our area’s top Commercial Real Estate and Property Management agencies has truly been a mission that Barry and Brad have strived very hard to achieve, and are dedicated to continuing for years to come.

What's one thing you wish you knew when you started your career?

That life has a way of throwing you a curveball when you least expect it, and change is inevitable. Also, that family (loved ones) is always, ALWAYS most important and to not neglect them in the pursuit of whatever career path you choose.

What advice would you give to young professionals looking for a career in finance?

To work hard and be a team player, remember you are there to make your company the best that it can be, and to always be open to change.

In your opinion, what makes Sturges such a great place to work?

The people I work with and the great leadership that is in place today!  We have a truly caring and compassionate group of people who take each day in stride, without letting the highs and lows of our often challenging and stressful business overshadow the day. Everyone tries to stay upbeat and positive, supporting each other in our busy lives.

Tell us about your favorite Sturges memory.

Oh my gosh, I have so many!!! Our Christmas parties tend to stand out, especially when we are encouraged to dress in fun Christmas wear. Memories of a certain someone dressed as a giant pink rabbit from 'A Christmas Story' will always put a huge smile on my face.
