2025: A Year in Review

As 2025 has reached its end, we’re taking a moment to reflect on another busy year for Sturges Property Group.
The commercial real estate market presented a mix of challenges and opportunities, but through strong client relationships, creative problem-solving, and a collaborative team approach, our brokers and property management professionals delivered amazing results!

2025 was also a milestone year for our company—50 years in business. What began in 1975 as Sturges, Griffin, Trent & Co. has grown into one of Northeast Indiana’s leading commercial real estate firms. This milestone made the success of 2025 even more meaningful as we continued building on five decades of client trust and market knowledge.
Property Management
Our Property Management department experienced good growth and progress in 2025, alongside celebrating employee achievements and new hires.

A few notable additions to our management portfolio within Fort Wayne included the Village at Coventry, Shorewood Shops, the Fort Wayne Community Foundation, and the Fort Wayne Capital Improvement Board. Outside of Fort Wayne, we expanded our managed portfolio by adding the Indiana State Police property in Evansville, our third ISP under management.
In total, we now manage 78 properties totaling over 2.8 million square feet!
This consists of several associations, facilities, and commercial buildings across the industrial, medical, office, and retail sectors.
Brokerage
2025 was a great year for our brokerage team, with several high-profile industrial and office transactions across Northeast Indiana. Our brokers demonstrated their great expertise and skill in collaboration with several new construction leases and other complex property sales. Let’s look at a few of our brokers’ favorite deals over 2025.
Robert Doyle
- BUSINESS SALE: Sale of the business & building at 3127 Carroll Road, Fort Wayne

Our Business Brokerage & Advisory services, led by Robert Doyle, continued to gain momentum in 2025. A notable business brokerage transaction included the sale of The Charles at 3127 Carroll Road to Copper Forge Distilling, where Robert advised on both the business and real estate components of the deal. Copper Forge is currently hosting pop-up events at this location with plans to fully open this location in 2026.
Transactions like this highlight the advantage of brokerage expertise that spans both business sales and traditional real estate deals.
- INDUSTRIAL: 2015 S Calhoun St, Fort Wayne - 21,694 SF

In addition, Robert represented the Seller in the real estate sale of 2015–2039 South Calhoun Street to Catalyst Distilling & Bottling. The sale was made possible through a valued referral from one of the property owner's trusted advisors. After other brokerage firms were unable to get it done, Robert Doyle stepped in and closed the deal within six months of listing!
Neal Bowman & Philip Hagee
Neal and Phil highlighted some major transactions completed in partnership with our affiliate, TI Source Project Management. These transactions highlight the competitive advantage of Sturges Property Group’s vertically aligned platform and its ongoing partnership with TI Source, an approach we plan to further strengthen in 2026.
- INDUSTRIAL: Building 11 Keystone Drive, Fort Wayne - 24,000 SF
- INDUSTRIAL: 5311 Distribution Drive, Fort Wayne - 16,000 SF

Martin Supply signed a 16,000 SF lease to renovate and modernize a highly visible industrial building near I-69 and US 27. Automotive Color signed a 24,000 SF lease for the newly constructed Building 11 at Keystone Industrial Park, which is nearing completion.
- OFFICE: 3575 Moreau Court, South Bend - 33,924 SF

Neal and Philip also facilitated a major office lease for the State of Indiana at 3575 Moreau Court in South Bend. This lease encompasses 33,924 square feet, providing the State with expanded office space to accommodate its growing operational needs.
Andrew Eckert
- INDUSTRIAL/LAND: 6485 Merchants Drive, LaOtto - 38,980 SF

Another notable industrial transaction was led by Andrew Eckert, who represented the seller in the sale of the 38,980 SF industrial building on 5 acres at 6485 Merchants Drive in LaOtto, IN. After initially being brought in to assist a buyer group with tenant placement, Andrew guided the property through a rezoning process, secured the listing in a competitive environment, and ultimately delivered a result that netted the sellers more than their original deal.
Shelby Wilson
- INDUSTRIAL: 7413 E SR 930, Fort Wayne - 30,720 SF

Shelby Wilson successfully represented RECO Equipment in securing a 30,720-square-foot lease at 7413 E SR 930. This deal was one of Shelby’s largest by square footage and provided her with additional tenant representation experience in the industrial sector, beyond her usual focus on office properties.
Ian Smith
- RETAIL: Jersey Mike's tenant rep with two new locations

Our Brokerage Associate, Ian Smith, has been providing tenant representation to Jersey Mike’s in the Northeast Indiana market. In 2025, he secured two sites for this franchise—one in Angola at 1400 N Wayne Street and another in Auburn at 523 W 7th Street. Beyond these, Ian has plans to continue this partnership in 2026 and already has an accepted Letter of Intent for an additional Fort Wayne location.
Looking Ahead
With 50 years behind us and momentum heading into 2026, we’re in a good spot for continued success. We’re proud of our team, grateful for our clients, and excited to build on our company’s legacy!
