Celebrating One Year as Sturges Property Group

Just over a year ago, on November 1, 2018, the former CBRE | Sturges evolved into Sturges Property Group. Our company has always been independently owned since our founding in 1975, so we assumed that this transition would have minimal impact on the ways we do business. But we found out that our new name, logo, signs, and website changed our company for the better, and we have been able to streamline processes, get more hands-on with our marketing, and build relationships with other brokerage firms from all around the country. With our dedicated staff of commercial real estate professionals, we have had one of our most successful years to date.

One of Our Best Years Yet

Over the past 12 months, the Brokerage Team has been involved in several large and notable transactions. Check out these five highlights that span the spectrum of commercial real estate transactions from the past year.


1. Sale of Park 3000 to Purdue Fort Wayne

This stunning building with 76,175 square feet of office space is centrally located in the heart of Fort Wayne. It attracted the attention of one of the city's premier institutions for higher education, and it will be the new home of Purdue Fort Wayne’s Doermer School of Business.

2. Coventry Cinema Sale

This high-profile commercial property sale was actually our first under the new name, as it closed precisely on November 1, 2018. Our Brokers were able to find the perfect buyer that will positively impact the community as they repurpose the property and adjacent land for multi-family use.

3. Riverfork Drive Industrial Building Sale

Northeast Indiana is no stranger to large industrial properties, and this property sale in Huntington was one of our largest of the year with 408,280 SF on over 18 acres.

4. Xfinity Retail Lease on Illinois Road

This former restaurant received a multi-tenant makeover, thanks to the advice of our forward-thinking Brokers. Xfinity (Comcast Cable) has been the first to take a chance on this highly visible retail property in southwest Fort Wayne, with their 4,200 square foot retail lease. Nearly 4,000 SF is currently available for other tenants.

5. Duncan Supply Industrial Lease

Not only do our Brokers love representing sellers and Landlords, but they also enjoy the thrill of a Tenant representation assignment. Duncan Supply Company was growing fast, and our Brokers helped them land the perfect new 36,000 SF industrial space at 3310 Congressional Parkway in Fort Wayne. This move will allow them to double their capacity and help with inventory distribution to their other northern Indiana locations.
